ONE OF ASIA’s LARGEST CYBER SECURITY CONFERENCE

WELCOME MESSAGE

AAVAR Chairman

Welcome to the 21st Association of Anti-Virus Asia Researchers (AVAR) International Conference 2018 to be held in Goa, India.  The conference is Asia Pacific’s largest anti-malware event and hosted in the past in countries such as Japan, China and Australia. It is now returning to India for the third time.

At a time when the malware threat has reached epidemic proportions, AVAR’s mission is to thwart its proliferation and mitigate its impact. With a membership base that spans 17 countries, AVAR is well equipped to step up its contribution to the world of secure computing.

As malware attacks shift gears and become more stealthy and lethal, the AVAR conference provides an avenue for the who’s who in the security industry to strategise and strengthen defences collaboratively. I firmly believe that AVAR 2018 will further enhance the international and inter-organisational exchange and cooperation that has made a significant contribution to advancing these defence strategies.

I look forward to meeting you at AVAR 2018 in the picturesque state of Goa.

On the momentous occasion of the 21st International AVAR Conference 2018, I warmly welcome you to the picturesque state of Goa.

More sophisticated malware attacks mean costly and devastating business impact for global industries and the economies. It is therefore imperative that we stay a step ahead of attackers by equipping ourselves with the latest developments in cybersecurity defence.

This year’s conference agenda presents a world of opportunities for stakeholders from various walks of life to listen to eminent speakers and presenters who will present technical papers and offer insights on the future of online security.

AVAR is more than just a conference for virus researchers. It is a platform for sharing the latest security advances to meet the business and technical needs of corporate professionals, students, educators, law enforcers, legislators, and everyone else whose objective is to ensure safe and secure computing. I hope you can join us and take advantage of all that this conference has to offer.

We, at K7, are committed to bolstering the security industry through AVAR 2018. Here’s your opportunity to gear up for some exciting sessions and leverage global connections to achieve higher security objectives – both as organisations and as individuals.
