Janus Agcaoili

Janus Agcaoili is a graduate of BS Computer Science from STI College and a Threat Research Engineer at Trend Micro Inc. since 2015.

His job mainly focuses on File Analysis and Threat Research. Last year, his team recently added Campaign Monitoring and Investigation to their duties, with a focus on high profile Ransomware Families like REvil/Sodinokibi. They study, monitor and analyze these threat’s attack patterns, TTPs, and tools used on their attacks for documentation to formulate actionable intelligence, preventive measures and solutions for these kind of attacks.

With this, he was able to contribute in publishing several articles under Trend Micro’s Security news and blog site from his analysis and findings, as well as speak in Trend Micro’s Webinar events regarding Ransomware.
