My name is Karla Agregado and I live in the Philippines. I'm a Security Researcher at LevelBlue-SpiderLabs and I've been working at Trustwave (owned by LevelBlue company) for more than 4 years and my main role is related to email security and also working on a machine learning project related to Trustwave's URL Scanner that analyzes phishing or scam URLs.
In recent months, we've seen recent phishing campaigns or high volume of URLs abusing legitimate domains or services like web hosting, email marketing or captcha (Cloudflare Turnstile) as redirection. We also observed a lot of compromised domains and phishing techniques using Tycoon 2FA phishing kits. I will discuss the bigger picture from phishing email to final phishing URL redirection and what are the red flags or malicious indicators and how we can detect them.
