Welcome
Welcome to AVAR2003, the #1
Asia Pacific conference for malicious code.
This is the first time the conference has been held in Australia and we look
forward to meeting you at the Westin Hotel, Sydney from 5 – 7 November
2003.
The theme for the conference is Malicious Code, rather than just computer
viruses. This has two prime aspects – emerging malicious code threats
and the technologies at risk. And technology to deal with these threats today
and into the future.
Speakers have accepted invitations from around the world including Australia,
Canada, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, the UK and the USA.
They include strategy architects, solution developers and users.
English we will be the language spoken by all presenters. We intend to provide
translation services into Japanese and, if demand is sufficient, for several
other languages as well.
Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We look forward to
sharing its many attractions with you in November. It is an ideal location
to relax, learn and exchange information. We are planning an entertaining and
informative conference offering excellent value for all participants.
